Manager – Creative & Brand Strategy

MISSION

Serve in a leadership and management capacity responsible for developing the strategy, direction, and oversight of the SIXTHMAN Creative & Brand Strategy. Lead the Creative & Brand Strategy Team (including Design and Video) to create vision, strategy, and execution plan to best showcase each event brand as well as the overall Sixthman brand. Leverage internal/external teams to design, capture, display, engage, and visually represent the unique soul of each Sixthman event as well as the overall brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead the Brand Strategy (look, feel, soul, style) for the SXM brand, events, and activities including but not limited to websites, mobile apps, terminal, on board, uniforms, ads, online store, emails, brochures, newsletters, merchandise, and more.

· Set standards and innovate the Brand, Visual, and User Experience for all SIXTHMAN events (during each external guest touchpoint) to ensure SPECIAL (defined by Sixthman as INVITE, INFORM, EXCITE, WELCOME, LOOK AFTER, AMAZE, and APPRECIATE) is delivered to drive guest engagement and loyalty, while continuously raising the bar of SPECIAL for events to the entire portfolio as well as the overall Sixthman brand.

· Manage projects, teams, and team members with project management software (currently Monday.com)

· Manage client relationships defining scope, project schedule, and costs for each event

· Lead the SIXTHMAN Design Supervisor, collaborate on mood boards, event concept style/tone, art direction for SIXTHMAN design work, and identify new resources, partners, and external vendors.

· Lead the SIXTHMAN Video Supervisor, collaborate on story boards and art direction for SIXTHMAN videos, and identify new technologies such as (Virtual Reality, 360, Augmented Reality) to further engage our current and prospective guest communities.

· Provide proactive guidance and direction to supervisors as they lead their team members to meet their specific goals, deadlines, and promote a culture that encourages maximum professional development and accountability.

· Proactively make recommendations to resolve issues and improve processes including recommending new tools/platforms to enhance team performance.

· Recommend, develop, and implement process and procedure improvements to support scalability of growth of the Company with focus on increased efficiency, accuracy, cost effectiveness, as well as enhancing guest and artist experience.

· Attend relevant industry events to build relationships and to monitor best practices and make appropriate recommendations to keep Sixthman on the leading edge of the industry and delivering world class community experience.

· Proactively define overall resource strategy the Creative & Brand Strategy team to support Company’s growth plan while ensuring scalability, sustainability, and quality.

EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with Event Managers and Marketing team members regarding overall event budget and needs around artwork, design, photo, video, and related areas

· Lead art direction internally and manage outside vendors on Event Interactive Visual Design for SXM events.

SAILING RESPONSIBILITIES

· Sail on 2-4 of the Company’s events annually as needed (primarily a shoreside role)

· In addition to assigned sailing responsibilities, consult with onboard Marketing, Photo, Video, and Design roles to ensure content is captured, produced, and displayed in accordance with the overall brand strategy


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience)

· 8+ years of experience

· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and social media outlets

· Experience with Monday.com preferred

· Strong sense of design and art direction

· Experience with community management and community building

· Ability to work closely with coworkers across all teams

· Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

· Initiative and desire to identify with guest needs to provide solutions to serve them

· Ability to conceptualize ideas and bring them to fruition

· Detail oriented with high accuracy

· Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask

· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes or challenges

· Computer proficiency (Email, Word, and strong Excel skills)

DISCUSSIONS YOU LEAD

You are responsible for leading discussions about the internal/external presentation of each event brand as well as the Sixthman brand.
